Nyesom Wike, the Rivers State Governor, has declared that the people believe in Nigeria’s unity and are not part of secession agenda. Wike made the remarks at Nigeria’s 57th Independence Church Service which held at Saint Mark’s Anglican Church in Port Harcourt.

The Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Ag.CP Edgal Imohimi, on Thursday, said that the command had arrested nine policemen, one traffic warden and two others over alleged corruption.

Popular human rights lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN) has accused the National Assembly of attempting to sabotage the ongoing fight against corruption by the current administration. In a statement made available to newsmen on Thursday, Falana accused the lawmakers of deliberately refusing to pass a bill seeking the establishment of a special court for corruption cases.
