Concession Of Lagos, Abuja Airports Approved By FEC – Vice President Osinbajo

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has revealed that the planned concession of Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos and Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja, has been approved by the Federal Executive Council. The Vice President revealed this on Monday at the State house, during his remarks at the 5th edition of the Presidential Quarterly Business Forum which he chaired.

An Abuja division of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday dismissed the suit filed by Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, seeking to nullify his recall by his constituents. Mr Melaye had approached the court with an exparte motion restraining the electoral body from proceeding with his recall exercise earlier scheduled to commence in July 2017.

Officials of Environmental Rights Action/Friends of the Earth Nigeria (ERA/FoEN) has called on the Federal Government to ban the use of electricity generating set by Ministries, Department and Agencies (MDAs) across the country. The Executive Director of the group, Dr. Godwin Uyi Ojo made the call while advocating for the formulation and implimentation of National Renewable Energy Policy and Legal Framework in the country.

The Nigerian Army said the second phase of Operation Python Dance also known as "Egwu Eke II" would commence in the South East from September 15 to October 14, 2017.  The Army made the disclosure in a statement issued by the Army Chief of Training and Operations on behalf of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai.

President Muhammadu Buhari has been scheduled to address the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly in the United States on Tuesday, September 19. THE national working committee, NWC, of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has asked Aisha Alhassan, minister of Women Affairs, to honourably resign over her scathing remarks on President Muhammadu Buhari. Inuwa Abdukadir, a member of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC, and National Vice Chairman, Northwest zone, has called for the resignation of the minister on Friday, September 8, in Abuja, when speaking with journalists.

2019: El-Rufai Denies Presidential Ambition

Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai has debunked claims that he is in the running for the 2019 presidential election, insisting rather that himself alongside another governor-loyalists of President Buhari are praying for his full recovery and pushing for him to return for a second term in 2019.
