Following the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP crises that have continued unabated calls for the resignation of the party chairman, Iyorchia Ayu have intensified. Some party members, especially those from Governor Nyesom Wike's camp have been calling for the National party chairman of the PDP to put forward his resignation following the emergence of former Vice president Atiku Abubakar as the flag bearer of the party for the 2023 general election.

The premise on which the call for his resignation gather momentum was that some party stalwarts are not comfortable with the arrangement, saying northern Nigeria cannot produce the National Chairman for the party and the presidential candidate at the same time.

Today, Deji Adeyanju, a political activist has joined his voice to the call for Ayu's resignation, saying the party has experienced unprecedented corruption under Ayu’s current administration.

In his verified tweeter handle, Adeyanju compared Ayu to Uche Secondus and that Secondus was a saint when compared to the current administration of the main opposition party.

The activist insisted that Ayu is a complete liability to the party when the current turbulence in the party is anything to go by.
According to Adeyanju's tweet, “Iyorchia Ayu should resign as PDP chairman. He is a complete liability to the party. Secondus is a saint compared to him.

“You can’t have a northern candidate and also a Northern chairman. PDP under him practiced the worst form of corruption by selling tickets to candidates.”
