The Governor of Delta state has warned Biafra agitation groups especially Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) desist from including Delta state in their unguided quest for Biafra state stressing that Delta state is not and will not be a part of such futile and unrealizable project.
The Special Assistant to the Governor who issued the statement on behalf of the government on Thursday in Asaba further restated the State's allegiance to the Nigerian state.
“Delta is not part of the South-East region and does not subscribe to the renewed agitation by the Indigenous People of Biafra and others."
Ovie added that “We are from the South-South part of Nigeria and we are proud Nigerians”
