The recently recalled former Chairman, House Committee on Appropriation, Hon. Abdulmumini Jibrin has reacted to his recall by the House of Representatives after he was suspended for about seventeen months. Hon. Jibril who was recalled on Tuesday, resumed plenary on Wednesday. Reacting to his recall, the Kano state lawmaker tweeted;

“Today, I resumed representation of my constituency and legislative duties at the House of Reps. The experience of the last 2 years has prepared me even better to rededicate myself towards service of our country. I thank you for your support. I remain eternally grateful. A Jibrin.”

The lawmaker was suspended on September 16, 2016 for 180 days legislative days over allegations bordering on budget padding.

Irked by his suspension, he accused the Speaker of the House and other leaders of padding the 2016 budget to the tune of N40b. He further claimed that the house diverted over N10bn in running cost.
