A fresh video has emerged where some group of terrorists who kidnapped the Abuja Kaduna train passengers on March 28, 2022, were seen manhandling their captives and threatening to capture more if government fail to meet their condition. In the said viral video, the terrorist was seen flogging the captives in where it appeared to be their den. While issuing a threat, one of the terrorists Threatened that failure of the government to heed their demand, they will soon be sold off the captives into slavery just like the way they treated the Chibok girls some years back.
Speaking in Hausa, one of the terrorists said before they will sell them off, they will ensure they kill those who might be unlucky among the victim before selling the remaining.
He said, “This is our message to the government of Nigeria and just as you have seen these people here, by God’s grace, you will see your leaders; your senators and governors will come before us,”.
“These ones you are seeing here, we will keep some as our slaves and sell them off just as our Imam told you in the past.
“Just like the Chibok girls that were sold off, we will equally sell these ones as slaves. If you don’t adhere to our demands, we will kill the ones we need to kill and sell the remaining.
The terrorist to an extent threatened to capture president Buhari and Governor Nasiru El-Rufa’i.
On March 28, 2022, terrorists ambushed a Kaduna-bound train where they attacked the passengers and killed eight people while abducting over 60 persons.
There have been mixed reactions from members of the public regarding whether it is right for the government to continue paying ransom to terrorists while they keep daring the government.
Although, others are of the opinion that both government and families of victims should not cave into the demands of terrorists as it will keep encouraging them to reign more terror on innocent Nigerians, while others moved by emotion call for their negotiating even if it should be at the family level.
Governor Nasiru El-Rufa’i has been an advocate of zero tolerance on ransom payment; he championed the bill for the criminalization of ransom payment which scaled through at the National Assembly.
Kaduna-Abuja road has remained a major target of terrorists in recent times where others see plying the road as a suicide mission.
Amidst wailing and crying from the terribly beaten captives, one of the terrorists said in Hausa that the Nigerian government should be blamed.
