The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN) has today disclosed that a court sitting in Kainji, Niger state will soon embark sitting on pending Boko Haram cases to ensure that prosecution of the terrorist is dispensed. Malami made the announcement today when he received an Ambassador to the Netherlands, Eniola Ajayi. The Minister applauded the envoy for her effort and patriotism.
According to the Senior Advocate, SAN, the Nigerian government cooperated with the International Criminal Court (ICC) which eventually led to the exoneration
In his statement, “With due diligence to Nigeria’s mandate under Article 86 of the Rome Statute of ICC, Nigeria cooperated fully with the court through submission of relevant documents, reports of panels of inquiry, etc,”
Malami confirmed that the committee has been put in place to domesticate the Rome Statute in Nigeria.
In his remark, Ajayi revealed she will continue her service in the interest of the nation and she is prepared to make a meaningful impact.
