Military Forces Record Success As They Slayed 33 Insurgent

Troops of the Special Forces Brigade have today recorded another milestone success after they killed about 33 Boko Haram Fighters in Borno village.

The insurgents were killed in Chikungudu, a Village in the Marte Local Government Area of Borno state.

The terrorist meets their waterloo after troops on a clearance mission stormed Misene, Hausari, and Chikungudu villages and engage them in a gun duel.

In the process, two Soldiers lost their lives while some sustained various degrees of injuries.

A cache of weapons including grenades, vehicles used by the Boko Haram terrorist were destroyed by the forces while others recovered.

Other items recovered include; 25Ak47 riffles, three anti-aircraft guns, three general purpose machine guns, two automatic grenade launchers (AGL), and two gun trucks among others.

The troops were highly elated by their success in killing the insurgents in their numbers which they called a morale booster.

The troops revealed the mission is still in progress in the area and other locations yet to be revealed for security reasons.
