President Buhari Approves Police Salary Increment – IGP Adamu

Men of the Nigeria Police Force soon get what they have been clamoring for as information has revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari has approved salary increment for them. According to a report by Daily post, the salary increment cuts across all ranks of the force. The Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, journeyed on Thursday to Ogun State in an effort to boost the morale of police officers after the attack on them during the recent End SARS protest. While addressing officers of the Ogun Police Command, the AIG urged personnel not to feel demoralised the attacks perpetrated on some of them during the protest.

Insecurity: Senate Set To Invite Communication Minister

Bothered by the state of insecurity in the land, the Senate has tasked its committee on communication to invite the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Pantami to discuss the resolution of the senate regarding his Ministry. The decision was necessitated by the growing insecurity in the land, according to Ezrel Tabiowo, Special Assistant to Senate president on press. Lamenting under order 42 and 52 of the red chamber over the rise of insecurity, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha (PDP Taraba South) noted that, the insecurity of the land is at the brink of collapsing. Bwacha said, it was obvious as it has unveiled itself in the form of kidnapping, banditry, assassination and other sundry crimes.

Suspected Kidnappers Abduct Staff Of ABU Zaria

Armed men suspected to be kidnappers on Monday invaded the Staff Quarters of Ahmadu Bello University, ABU, Zaria and abducted one of their staff Dr. Ibrahim Bako, a lecturer in the Department of Physiology. The invaders picked him, his wife and daughter at their residence on Sardauna Cresent, Area BZ, main Campus, Samaru, Zaria, about 12:50am. In a press release by the University, it was disclosed that the University Security Division swiftly alerted the police who went after them up to Kasuwar Da’a village bordering the University, the kidnappers then released the wife and the daughter and went away with the husband.
