NECO: 19 Workers Dismissed Over Certificate Forgery

The National Examination Council, NECO has on Tuesday announced that its Governing board has approved the dismissal of 19 staff for certificate forgery, following the worker's confession to the crime. According to PUNCH, the affected workers confessed during a Staff Certificate Verification Committee screening, which was set out to fish workers "with the questionable credential".

2020 UTME: JAMB Registers Highest Number Of Candidates

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB has registered over 1.9 million candidates for the 2020 unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), making it the highest number of candidate to have been registered for the examination.

Members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) serving in Enugu, Enugu state were seen in jubilation mood after receiving the payment of N33,000 new monthly minimum wage as there copper allowance by the Federal Government. The Youth corps members whom have been long expecting the new allowance have expressed happiness when speaking to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) Enugu on Friday.

The Kaduna State Polytechnic (KADPOLY) Management has sacked one of its former Head of Department, Civil Engineering, Engr. Danjuma Alhassan for sexual Harassment of a female student of the institution. During the 91st regular meeting of the Governing Council of the Polytechnic held on January 30th, 2020 at the institution, the Council approved the termination of the appointment of the said Lecturer with immediate effect after he was found guilty.

The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig. Gen. Shuaibu Ibrahim has announced that the Federal Government has approved the payment of N33,000 as monthly allowance for corps members. Brig. Gen. Ibrahim made the announcement while addressing corps members at the NYSC Bauchi State Secretariat, adding that the approval was in line with the implementation of the new minimum wage.
