FG To Partner With Dundee University On Nano Technology


The Federal government through the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology has on Thursday announced a partnership with University of Dundee, Scotland to develop a technical committee that aimed at focusing on the study of Nanotechnology, Biotechnology, Forensics and Information Communication Technology (ICT).


Barr. Mohammed Abdullahi, Minister of State for Science and Technology made the disclosure when he received the Associate Dean of the University of Dundee, Prof. Peter Mceleavy and the Nigerian chapter of the University’s Alumni Association in his office in Abuja.

Abdullahi commended the university for its support and also for being a top study choice for Nigerian student for both undergraduate and postgraduate education.

The Minister further said the Ministry would sponsor its scientists to study at the University in efforts to gain advanced science and technology knowledge.
Speaking, Prof. Mceleavy said his University was focused on developing a close and mutual relationship with Nigeria and the ministry.

The Associate Dean also lauded the successful track-record of Nigerian students in the University, as they have continued to excel in their studies and impacted positively to the global society.
