Corpses of missing police officers deployed from Intelligence Response Team (IRT) Abuja, Police Mobile Force (PMF) Oghara and the Anti-Kidnapping Squad, Asaba in Delta state have been recovered by a combined team of security agents and local vigilantes in Agadama forest in Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state. The operational huts of the suspected killers were destroyed and 6 corpses were also recovered.

An anonymous source within the Delta State Police Command confirmed the development, adding that the recovered corpses were deposited in the morgue at Mariere Central Hospital in Ughelli.

Recall that on January 24, 2024, 3 police officers responded to a distress call from Moses Progress, who alleged he was robbed by suspected herdsmen while performing rituals under a bridge close to Ohoror community.

One police inspector narrowly escaped from the herdsmen captivity days later and reported that 6 policemen were killed while 15 others were still missing.
