Borno State: ISWAP Abducts Aid Workers, Others

The Islamic State of the West African Province (ISWAP) has allegedly abducted 3 aid workers and 2 security guards of the Family Health International (FHI 360) in Borno State. FHI 360 is a US-based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), focused on improving the health and well-being of people.


ISWAP combatants reportedly raided the guest house of the organization in their numbers at about 4 am on Wednesday morning and abducted the 5 victims.

The organization is yet to release a press statement about the incident and the kidnappers have also not announced their demands.
