Court Sentences Lagos Doctor To Life Imprisonment For Rape

Lagos-based medical Doctor; Femi Olaleye has been sentenced to life imprisonment for raping his wife's niece. Olaleye the managing director of Optimal Cancer Care Foundation was tried at the special offences and domestic court in Lagos on 24th October 2023, by Judge Rahman Oshodi on a two-count charge of defilement of a child and assault by penetration. Oshodi convicted Olaleye of defiling and sexually contacting a 15-year-old minor and established that the prosecution was able to prove its case beyond reasonable doubt and that all the evidence before the court corroborated that of the victim. Gay Party: NSCDC Arrests 76 Persons In Gombe

Gombe State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has apprehended about 76 gay suspects over convening a same-sex wedding party in the state. The Public Relation Officer of the NSCDC, Buhari Sa’ad made the disclosure while briefing newsmen in Gombe over the incident parading the suspect before the camera at the command Headquarters of the security agency in the state.
