China's parliament on Sunday overwhelmingly endorsed a controversial change to the country's constitution, paving the way for President Xi Jinping to stay in power indefinitely, CNN reports. According to the report, nearly 3,000 delegates to the National People's Congress (NPC) who gathered inside Beijing's Great Hall of the People cast their ballots on a series of proposed amendments -- including removing the restriction that had limited the presidency to two consecutive five-year terms.

US President, Donald Trump has praised other countries for imposing the death penalty or life in prison for drug dealers, saying the United States should consider similar penalties. The sentence from U.S. District Judge Kiyo Matsumoto in federal court in Brooklyn, New York, was shorter than the 15 years asked for by prosecutors but much longer than the 12 to 18 months Shkreli’s lawyers had sought.

Trump And Kim Jong-Un To Hold Landmark Meeting

US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, are to meet in person as early as May, it has been announced, an extraordinary overture after months of mutual hostility.

News of the meeting was delivered by South Korean officials after talks with Mr Trump at the White House.

US President, Donald Trump's top economic adviser, Gary Cohn is resigning, the White House has said.

It is the latest in a series of high-profile departures from President Trump's team.

There has been speculation that Mr Cohn, a supporter of free trade, was angered by Mr Trump's plans to impose tariffs on aluminium and steel imports.
