Donald Trump has signed an executive order imposing new sanctions against Venezuela for its controversial "petro" cryptocurrency, according to Coindesk. The U.S. president was previously said to be preparing to sign an executive order imposing additional sanctions on the South American nation for its attempt to bypass existing economic restrictions, McClatchy DC reported on Friday. On Monday, Trump signed an order blocking any U.S. transactions in the petro, the White House announced.

A nine-year-old boy has shot and killed his 13-year-old sister in the UN State of Mississippi over a video game, according to the police.

Policed said the boy grabbed a gun on Saturday afternoon after his sister would not give up the controller and allegedly shot her from behind.

A local sheriff announced on Sunday that the girl had died of her injuries in a Memphis hospital. It was unclear how the boy obtained the gun.

President Donald Trump has announced the sack of former FBI Deputy Director, Andrew McCabe, less than two days shy of his retirement.

McCabe had more recently been regularly taunted by President Donald Trump and besieged by accusations that he had misled internal investigators at the Justice Department.

In a blistering statement Friday night, McCabe said his firing is part of a larger effort to discredit the FBI and the special counsel's investigation.

Donald Trump Jr’s wife Vanessa is seeking an uncontested divorce from the president’s son, according to a public court record filed Thursday in the United States. The couple, both 40 years old, married in 2005 and have five children. The Trump Organization, where Donald Trump Jr. is an executive, didn’t immediately respond to an emailed request for comment. The court filing didn’t include the names of the couple’s lawyers.

Trump: Comey Lied Under Oath

President Trump on Sunday accused former FBI Director James Comey of lying under oath during questioning about anonymous sources.

“Wow, watch Comey lie under oath to [Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa)] when asked ‘have you ever been an anonymous source...or known someone else to be an anonymous source...?’” Trump wrote on Twitter.

“He said strongly ‘never, no.’ He lied as shown clearly on @foxandfriends.”

Canada will send helicopters and support troops, including medical staff, to join a United Nations peace-keeping mission in Mali later this year, a senior Canadian government source said late on Friday, according to a government source.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government will announce on Monday that Canada plans to send troops and aircraft to Mali for up to 12 months, said the official, who declined to provide further details.

The plan was earlier reported by Canadian broadcaster CBC.
