US Vs China: China Orders Closure Of US Consulate In Chengdu
Following orders to close the Chinese Consulate in Houston earlier this week by the United States' government, China in retaliation has on Friday ordered US to close down its Consulate in the Southwestern city of Chengdu. The Chinese foreign ministry in a statement said the order is a "legitimate and necessary response to the unreasonable measures by the United States." "The current situation in China-US relations is not what China desires to see, and the US is responsible for all this," the statement added.
COVID-19: As Second Wave Of Virus Swoop, China Record More Cases
The Chinese government has today said it has received reports of nine new confirmed cases of the coronavirus on the Chinese mainland. The Chinese National Health Commissioner disclosed that all the new cases were imported, saying amongst the nine cases; three were reported in Liaoning and Shanghai each, two in Guangdong while one in Sichuan.

UAE Launches 'Amal' Mars Probe From Japan
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has on Monday launched its first spacecraft 'Amal' to Mars on a seven-month journey from Japan, making it the Emirate's first interplanetary mission. The well-anticipated lift-off was watched by people at the space center in Dubai and online across the world with claps and cheers throughout. The 'Amal' orbiter which took off after a five-day delay due to bad weather left the Tanegashima space center aboard Mitsubishi Heavy Industries' H-IIA rocket. It later separated successfully from the Mitsubishi to continue its journey to Mars.
Iran Issues Arrest Warrant Against Trump Over Killing Of General Soleimani
Iran has on Monday issued a warrant of Arrest on the United States President, Donald Trump over the killing of Iranian Top General, Qasem Soleimani who led the Quds Force of Iran's Revolutionary Guards in January by an American drone strike.
According to Iran State News Agency, IRNA, Tehran prosecutor, Ali Qasi Mehr said the arrest warrant was also issued for 36 other US political and military officials involved, adding those involved in the death of the General "have been investigated and were ordered to be arrested through Interpol".
