A body recovered from a lake in California has been identified as the missing 'Glee' star, Naya Rivera, Police said on Monday.
The 33-year-old actress was declared missing on Wednesday last week after her four-year-old son, Josey was found sleeping alone on a boat hours after they went on a boating trip at Lake Piru near Los Angeles.
"We are confident the body we found is that of Naya Rivera," Ventura County Sheriff, Bill Ayub said in a press briefing.
According to the Sheriff, Rivera's body was found early hours on Monday near the area where the boat had gone missing, 35 to 60 feet deep with heavy trees and brush underwater.
"There is no indication this was foul play and no indication this was a suicide," Ayub said.
He further said though what happened was not clear, the actress's son had told authorities that his mother pushed him back into the boat but did not get back in.
The body has been sent to the medical examiner's office for an autopsy to officially identify the body through dental records.
Fans, Friends, and Colleagues have expressed their condolences to the star's family.
