Skit maker Promise Kelvin Anagbogu, better known as Lord Lamba, has filed a lawsuit seeking child custody of his daughter Princess Keilah, which he had with former Big Brother Naija housemate, Queen Mercy Atang, thereby escalating the feud between the duo. Lord Lamba posted pictures of himself alongside their one-year-old daughter shortly after Queen Atang shared photos of her engagement with her current partner King David. Atang shared the photos in a post on her Instagram page on Thursday while appreciating her lover for "bringing immense joy into her life." “God acted according to his timing. I have consistently prayed for guidance in building a loving family, and fulfilling roles as a mother, wife, and follower of his teachings. His response came in due time.
“To my dear husband-to-be @iam_kingdaivid, I thank you for choosing me and loving me. And for embracing my family as your own. Your presence has brought immense joy into my life. I promise to continually pray for blessings upon your life. I love you dearly,” The mother of one wrote.
Shortly after the revelation images of the legal petition by Lord Lamba seeking custody of Princess Keilah emerged online.
The petition, dated February 16, and addressed to the Family Court of Lagos State in Ikeja, criticised Atang for leaving their daughter, Princess Keilah Kelvin Anagbogu, in the care of other people while she traveled to the UK to get engaged on January 29, 2024.
The document claimed that, despite Lord Lamba’s consistent financial support for Atang and their daughter’s well-being, he was denied access to the child.
Lord Lamba claimed in the petition that Atang had blocked all his phone numbers and could only reach her using a new number, which was later blocked.
According to Lord Lamba it is in the best interest of the child to be under his custody “in order for her to have a decent upbringing and for her to be well catered to.”
