It appears Nollywood actress Funke Akindele, will be Joining the likes of Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth on the set of Marvel Comics "Avengers" movie to play the role of one of The Black Panther's guards, the Dora Milaje.
The IMDb page of Avengers: Infinity War lists Funke Akindele as a cast member of the movie.
She might feature alongside Hollywood hot shots, Don Cheadle, Chris Pratt, Scarlett Johansson and others. Her name appeared on the cast lineup of the movie provided by IMDb, a reputable online database known for listing latest film projects.
Efforts to reach out to Akindele, for a confirmation, proved abortive as the actress is yet to respond.
Lagos, which is home to Funke Akindele was featured in a "Captain America: Civil War" fighting scene, where some Marvel superheroes were involved in a battle.
Should the report pan out to be true, it will be the first time a Nigerian-born actor/actress will appear in a Hollywood superhero movie.
The "Avengers: Infinity War" movie which is being directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, has been set for a May 4, 2018, release.
