Chelsea Defender, David Luiz has been linked with a shock move to Manchester United in an emerging bizzare January transfer rumour. The report may not be unconnected with perceive rift between the player and the Manager, Antonio Conte. Luiz was left out of the squad that defeated Manchester United at Stanford Bridge before the International break.
It was reported that the decision by Conte to exclude Luiz from the team was because the player had questioned his tactics during training session and blamed him for the club's poor run.
Earlier this month reports in Spain suggested that the Brazilian was eyeing a move to Barcelona, while the Daily Express has now boldly claimed that former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is keeping an eye on the situation with a view to taking the player to Old Trafford.
The Daily Express report claimed that Luiz remains 'angry' over the recent 'humiliation' he has suffered at the hands of Conte, putting forward a possible move as early as January.
Meanwhile, bookmakers have predicted that the deal will never be consummated given the bad blood that exist between Luiz and Mourinho. Mourinho had sanctioned his transfer from Chelsea to Paris Sain Germain in 2014 after rating the defender as unimpressive. He had regularly played him out of position in a bid to get a place for him in the squad.
It is yet to be seen if Mourinho would again attempt to secure a player he once rejected at Chelsea.
