Don Balon, a Spanish media outlet says Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has indicated interest to leave Real Madrid and join Chelsea next summer. The report says the player has requested super agent, Jorges Mendes to sort out the deal after expressing continued frustration at Madrid.
The report further hinted that though Manchester United have indicated interest to facilitate a reunion, the player favours a move to London. His preference for Chelsea is because he feels Manchester United may not have the financial muscle to pursue the deal.
The reigning World Best footballer has endured a difficult start to the Spanish league season, netting only once in seven league appearances. His goal drought has reflected in Real Madrid's overall form, with the champions trailing rivals Barcelona by eight points after suffering two defeats in their opening league fixtures.
Apart from the club's poor, the rift between him and Sergio Ramos has also worsened his frustration. The rift started when the Portuguese granted an interview blaming the club's poor performance on the exit of Pepe, Morata and Rodriquez. He claimed that the current Madrid squad is made up of inexperience players.
Ramos has since countered him, describing his claim as opportunistic. He also hinted that the player was not liked by his teammate because of his selfishness and individualistic posture. Club manager, Zinedine Zidane has waded into the matter.
