Gabonese striker, Emerick Aubameyang has been recalled by Borussia Dortmund manager, Peter Stoger after a brief suspension ahead of a crucial encounter with Hertna Berlin on Friday. The recall is coming after strong indications emerged that Arsenal had sealed personal terms with the player and were finalizing the remaining aspects of the contract with the Club to secure his services before the close of the January transfer window.

According to Dailymail Sports, Stoger had suspended the Gabon striker for the 0-0 with Wolfsburg on Sunday after he failed to report for a team meeting - his third suspension in 12 months. And despite Aubameyang appearing all set to leave the Westfalenstadion for the Emirates Stadium this month, he is expected to spearhead the Dortmund attack against Hertha Berlin.

Aubameyang is expected to replace Chile International, Alexis Sanchez who has almost completed his transfer to Manchester United after refusing to renew his contract at the Emirate.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid have reportedly indicated interest in the player. It is however yet to be seen why the player is being recalled after it has appeared certain that the player is leaving Germany.

Aubameyang has established himself as one of Europe's most dangerous attackers since he swapped Ligue 1 side Saint-Etienne for Dortmund.

The 28-year-old has netted 141 times in 212 games in all competitions for Dortmund.
