The 2019/20 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season has been billed to kick off on November 3 with defending champions Enyimba starting their title defence against Nasarawa United.

After a lengthy break, the NPFL will finally commence in the first week of November, according to the League Management Company (LMC) organisers of the Nigeria Professional Football League after a draw was held on Monday in Abuja.

The LMC stated after the draw that the league will not be adopting the Super Six tourney which it did last season due to late kickoff but revert to its original 20 teams format in a single NPFL log in a regular double round-robin system which will run from November to May 2020.

Newly-promoted sides Jigawa Golden Stars, Warri Wolves, Adamawa United, and Akwa Starlets will be facing Wikki Tourist, Akwa United, Ifeanyi Uba and Delta Force respectively.
