The Super Eagles are set to renew rivalry with the Black Stars of Ghana in the West African Football Union (WAFU) Nations Cup. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Draw Ceremony for the tournament meant for senior national teams in the sub –region took place at the Labadi Beach Hotel, Accra on Thursday.

Manchester City new recruit, Benjamin Mendy will miss the beginning of the 2017/2018 season due to thigh injury.  The Coach, Pep Guardiola made the disclosure during an interview with Skysports. He hinted that though the player passed his medical at Ethihad and completed a £49.2m move to City from Monaco, he has been nursing thigh injury for eight months. 

Manchester City vs Real Madrid

Pep Guardiola's Manchester City has spent big to bolster their defence this summer, but showed they will be a force to reckon with at the other end this season in a 4-1 friendly win over Real Madrid on Wednesday. A second-half blitz in front of 93,000 fans at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum saw City secure their first pre-season victory in style.

Indications have emerged that Spanish giant, Real Madrid may offload one of the BBC (Bale, Benzema or Christiano) to pave way for the arrival of Monaco star, Kylian Mbappe. The Coach, Zinedine Zidane tacitly made the disclosure after his team was roundly beaten by Manchester City.

Contrary to reports that Pedro's injury was not serious, Chelsea Football Club has announced that the attacker suffered multiple fractures on his face and has been taken back to London for proper medical attention. The Club made the disclosure on Monday via its Twitter handle.
