 Nigeria’s Super Eagles are set to play England in a World Cup warm-up game in June, the general secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Mohammed Sanusi has said. “We plan to play a friendly against England in June, before the World Cup,” he said, adding that the venue and other details of the match were still to be worked out.

Cristiano Ronaldo became the first player to score in all six Champions’ League group-stage matches in a season on Wednesday with a first-half strike for Real Madrid against Borussia Dortmund. The 32-year-old’s continued his fine form in the UEFA Champions League, as he drew level with his Barcelona rival Lionel Messi on 60 group-stage goals in total. It was his ninth goal for the season in the Champions League.

Real Madrid captain, Sergio Ramos has debunked media reports of ongoing rift between him and club record goal scorer, Christiano Ronaldo. The rift was triggered after Ronaldo blamed the club's poor performance on exit of experienced players including Alvaro Morata, James Rodriquez and Pepe. He submitted that the current Real Madrid squad was lacking in depth as most of the players are inexperience.

World football governing body FIFA announced on Wednesday it was lifting its suspension of Kuwait, after the Gulf state’s parliament adopted a law meant to end government interference in the sport.

“The suspension of the Kuwait Football Association is lifted,” FIFA’s president Gianni Infantino announced alongside a Kuwaiti official in a short video shared widely on Twitter.

Infantino was visiting Kuwait to announce the eagerly anticipated decision.

Paris Saint Germain attacker, Kylian Mbappe has become the youngest player to score ten goals in the history of Champions League. The 18-year-old French player increased his tally to ten on Tuesday night encounter against Bayern Munich after scoring the opening goals although his side went on to lose 3-1 at the Allianz Arena.
