The Governor of Anambra state and the governorship aspirant of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in the state's governorship election Willie Obiano this morning about 10:15am casts his vote at Eri Ward 4, in Aguileri area of Anambra East Local Government area. The governor who was accompanied to the polling unit by his supporters and some aides said reports reaching him suggest that the exercise was going on peacefully across the state.

He also assured his supporters that he will be declared winner of the poll after the exercise.


Speaking after casting his vote, the Governor raised alarm that the Card Reader failed to capture his finger print several times and lamented that such situation could disenfranchise many electorates across other polling centers.


“My voter’s card was scanned but my fingerprint could not be accessed. My card was verified but they said they couldn’t read my fingerprints.”
