The embattled National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressive Congress, APC Timi Frank has described the National Chairman of the party, Chief John Oyegun as a failure, stressing that for the party to have a successful political outing in 2019,he must resign.
Frank who stated this in a statement signed and released to journalists, claimed that if given the opportunity to serve as the Chairman of the party, he would out-perform the incumbent. According to him, ‘‘I have said it in the past that if i am given the opportunity, i can run APC better than Oyegun. His leadership has failed’’. He further berated the Chairman for ‘‘fixing a date for national convention without due consultation and the requisite funds’’. Timi claimed that ‘‘nobody will trust Oyegun because of his mismanagement of party funds in the past and that is why our governors cannot release money for the party’’. He added that ‘‘Like before, I'm still warning that unless Chief Oyegun resigns as APC national Chairman, i don't think the party can progress with this present situation. I’m calling on prominent members of the party who are still keeping quiet to speak up or else this mismanagement might lead the party to unexpected end’’
