President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday met the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Oyegun behind closed doors, following a fierce letter by the National Leader of the party, Bola Tinubu accusing him of sabotaging ongoing reconciliatory moves in the party.

Recall that Tinubu had on Thursday written a letter in which he accused Oyegun of undertaking certain actions in some states including Kogi in a move aimed at undermining the presidential task given to him to reconcile all feuding members of the party.

Oyegu reportedly arrived the State House around 3pm and left the Villa at about 3:50pm. The meeting according to a source at the State House was to allow the party chairman respond to the allegations contained in the letter.

After the meeting, Oyegun failed to address State House correspondents.
