Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has distanced himself from the group who are campaigning in his name to take over from President Buhari come 2023.
Tinubu made this known in a statement clarifying that a group called “Asiwaju ReloadedAmbassador” Nigeria are not speaking for him and not from him.
The group were seen with face caps, T-shirts, leaflets carrying pictures of Tinubu embossed on them with the message "Tinubu 2023”
The APC National Leader denial was contained in a tweet endorsed by his media office and posted on his official tweeter Handle. The tweet reads;
“We have seen pictures of face caps, T-shirts, shirts and even leaflets with Bola Tinubu 2023 embossed on them purportedly by a faceless group which christened itself ‘Asiwaju Reloaded Ambassadors’ Nigeria’.
“Neither the group nor its souvenirs are known to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
“We hereby, through this medium, categorically deny any knowledge of the group and dissociate Asiwaju Tinubu from the group’s unsolicited and unwarranted materials,” the statement read.
