The United State government has reiterated its commitment to partnering with Nigeria to tackle security challenges in the country. The Ambassador to Nigeria, Stuart Symington made this known in Abuja during the meeting with Nigerian Security Officials on the Security Governance Initiative Working Group Meeting.

The Ambassador explained that the Security Governance Initiative is designed as a partnership, a framework under which the United States and Nigeria can work together to address dynamic security challenges.

 

Ambassador Symington said “the US and Nigeria coming together can make a big difference adding that security job is for everybody”. He applauded Nigerians for their strength in achieving their set goals.

 

Navy Commodore Ricks Michaels emphasised the benefit of the partnership in curbing security challenges in the Nigeria.
