2023: Support FG For Fair, And Credible Election - Emir Of Gwandu Calls Electorate

His Royal Highness, The Emir of Gwandu Major General Ilyasu Bashar retired, has called the attention of all Nigerians not only Kebbi state, to get their permanent Voters' Card (PVC) before the fast approaching 2023 general election. The Emir also said voter's card is very necessary to all well-meaning Nigerians, considering the Economic and, Security situations bedeviling our Country (Nigeria).


He said: "The Federal Government (FG) can't do it alone, without the support of every one of us towards fighting the corrupt and outdated system of voting in Nigeria, and replace it with the implementations of new programs and policies that will ensure the credibility of the 2023 general election beyond any reasonable doubt".

Bashir cited some factors that could determine the credibility of the forthcoming general election, such factors particularly are National Population Census Program (NPC), and the new Naira notes. Saying that Nigerians should support the Government to succeed in these critical areas.

He called on the people to endure and embrace the currency change, and the new policies which were designed to enhance the economic growth of the country.

The Monarch appealed for peaceful co-existence, vigilance, and security consciousness while performing their civic duty.

The Emir praised President Muhammadu Buhari on his 80th Birthday, and wish him good health, wisdom, and protection to deliver his promise to Nigerians, themed "ensuring free, fair, and credible election."
