The Igbo Youth Assembly (IYA) Worldwide has called on the runaway leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to apologise to President Muhammadu Buhari over his consistent attack on the personality and the administration of the president.
The IYA also appealed to Nigerians to key into the laudable achievement of the Buhari administration through his policies like the home grown economy and food security amongst others.
The Assembly made this call in a statement signed by the leaders of the group, Ifeanyi Nwaudunna, the president of the group and his secretary General, Casmir Irekamba during the celebration of President Buhari’s 77th birthday, saying that Nnamdi Kanu has to apologise to president Buhari for peace to reign.
Contained in the statement, the group opined that it was an act of rudeness and irresponsibility on the side of Nnamdi Kanu to pass such exuberance to the younger generation which they said is contrary to the custom and values of Igbo people.
Therefore, as such the IYA Worldwide is calling on Nnamdi Kanu to with immediate effect apologises to President Muhammadu Buhari and enjoys his peace from his village of Afara-Ukwu Umuahia, Abia state.
The group maintained that Buhari's administration has recorded so much achievement in the area of infrastructure in some part of the country such as Enugu-Port Harcourt expressway, Lagos-Ibadan Express Way, the Second Niger Bridge and a sustained fight against corruption which is yielding result.
