British former Prime Minister, Mr. Tony Blair on Friday 5th April 2019 paid a visit to Nigeria. During the visit, Mr. Blair met behind closed doors with Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo.

It was gathered that Professor Osinbajo received the former British PM who led a delegation from the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

Although State House correspondents were not given clearance to speak with the former PM, the meeting lasted over thirty minutes. But a tweet from the government disclosed that the institute, as well as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, would be supporting the Delivery Unit in the Presidency regarding some critical sectors of the nation’s economy.

Similarly, the former PM was said to have visited the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai in Kaduna.

Recall that Blair last visited Nigeria in 2017, when he met with Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, and pledged to support state governments in Nigeria in delivering good governance to the people.
