The president of Buhari Youth Organisation (BYO) and  son to former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, Olujonwo said politics is not a do or die affairs, therefore, he reserves every right to support the re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari as against his father's interest of supporting  his former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar come 2019.

Olujonwo disclosed this while attending questions from a journalist on Wednesday at the press conference center, National Secretariat of APC over theactivities of his group.

He stated, “I believe I’m here as an individual, youth and someone who believes that this government is for the youths and future generations.

“This government is leading us towards economic diversification as this nation is blessed with vast resources. I believe in this administration as an individual and I’m supporting President Buhari. I can’t speak on behalf of my father.

Olujonwo added, “When you get to a certain
level in life, you are at liberty to choose your path. My father remains my father, despite our contrary political ideologies.

He further stated, “We need to progress mentally. Politics should unite us. We can agree to disagree. That is the kind of politics we are trying to promote. Politics is
meant to unite people, not to divide them.”

He lauded the achievements recorded so far by Buhari lead administration in Agriculture and infrastructure especially road construction.

The BYO president expressed confidence that President Buhari would return in 2019 despite the malicious hate speech being propagated on him on social media.
