The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Abubakar Magaji on Thursday admitted being responsible for the reinstatement of Abdulrasheed Maina, the embattled Chairman of the defunct Presidential Task Force on Pension Reform and apologized for his action.

Magaji stated this when he appeared before the House of Representatives Investigative Committee ascertaining the circumstances surrounding the reinstatement of Maina into the Federal Civil Service, years after he was sacked and declared wanted by the EFCC.

Apart from his apology on his involvement in Maina's reinstatement, Magaji also apologized to the Head of Service, Winifred Oyo-Ita for referring to her as 'that person' during his presentation.
