President Muhammadu Buhari has dismissed the rumour going around that he will be seeking for a third term in office. Buhari made the declaration today during a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held at the All Progressive Congress (APC) secretariat in Abuja.

In his statement, “I am not going to make the mistake of attempting a third term” Buhari confessed.

According to the president, aside age he sworn an oath with the Holy book that he will uphold the constitution of Nigeria and the constitution stipulates only two terms.

He added, he can’t be that reckless a take Nigerians for granted through abusing the oath of office, saying Nigerians should relax, Buhari will not ask anybody for a vote again in his name.

History will not be fair if the ruling party APC is allowed to crumble after him leaving office Buhari explained. He urged every member of the party to renew faith and reposition him/her self by adopting an aggressive approach of mobilising more peoples from their individual constituencies politically by being a good ambassador of the APC.

Meanwhile, he explained that history will be fair to the ruling party if more efforts are generated towards not only holding the centre but to push for more frontiers.
