The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has today, Friday raised alarm claiming an alleged delay by the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) to hand over judgement to them to process their appeal at the supreme court.
Kola Ologbondiyan, the PDP National Secretary made this allegation to Daily Post claiming the tribunal is deliberately delaying to release the record to them.
In his statement, the secretary said “It is instructive to state that the Court of Appeal is aware that our party and candidate have mandatory 14 days to appeal to the Supreme Court, yet it is delaying in releasing a judgment that was read for nine hours. Claiming their party is suspicious that the record could be tempered with if further delayed.
Ologbondiyan further stated that their party are anxious of the development claiming there could be link between what the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed And the APC National Party Chairman, Adam Oshiomhole said that Justice could not be served to their Party.
The party also claimed that it had the full video and audio recording of the judgment and we would not hesitate to expose any underhand act by anybody.
Therefore, the party demand the immediate release of the record of judgment as delivered by the Tribunal without any delay to give them precedence of approaching the Supreme Court.
