Controversial former Education minister, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, on Monday criticized the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki and the Speaker of House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara for revealing that the 2018 budget will be laid this week and passed next week.

One of the co-leaders of the Bring Back Our Girls Campaigners who made her position known via her Twitter handle said their counterparts in other countries who earn less that 40% of the income had passed their budgets four months ago.

Her tweet reads;

“Just look at you and your colleagues Senate President @bukolasaraki and Speaker @YakubDogara. Just look @ you all at the @nassnigeria. Your counterparts that earn just about 40% of the monthly heist you call “operating cost” passed their countries’ budgets 4 MONTHS AGO.”

Recall that on Monday, after a crucial meeting with President Buhari at the State House, Saraki and Dogara while addressing Correspondents hinted that the National Assembly would lay the budget this week and facilitate its passage next week. The Nigerians had believed that the budget which was presented in November to the National Assembly would be passed in January.
