NIS Commences Recruitment, Lists Requirements, Vacancies

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) announced on Monday that its recruitment portal for 2023 is now open to interested members of the public, adding that the application form can be accessed and submitted online via https://cdcfib.career.
This was disclosed by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) which stated that there will automatic disqualification of multiple applications, and the submission deadline is January 30.


Requirements for interested applicants include; must be Nigerian by birth; required to have the National Identity Number (NIN); have the necessary certificates and qualifications; must be between the age of 18 and 30 years except for Doctors and Pharmacists, who must not be more than 35 years.

Other requirements are; candidates are required to undergo a drug test; must be of good character and not have been convicted of any criminal offences; must be fit and present certificates of medical fitness from a recognized government hospital.

Interested applicants' height must not be less than 1.65m for males and 1.60m for females while chest measurement must not be less than 0.87 for only men.

Positions for vacancy are Superintendent of Immigration (SI) CONPASS 11 (Medical Doctors), Deputy Superintendent of Immigration (DSI) CONPASS 10 (Pharmacists), Assistant Superintendent of Immigration II (ASI II) CONPASS 08.

Others are Inspector of Immigration (II) CONPASS 07 (Nursing), Assistant Inspector of Immigration (AII) CONPASS 06 (General Duty), Immigration Assistant III (IA III) CONPASS 03 (General Duty), and Immigration Assistant III (IA III) CONPASS 03 (Artisans, Motor Driver and Mechanic).

Candidates are urged to print out Referee forms for completion and submission during screening and the date for the Computer-Based Test (CBT) will be communicated in due course to shortlisted applicants.
