A Permanent Secretary Kidnapped in Adamawa

The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of Adamawa Command, Suleiman Yahaya has confirmed the kidnapping of the Permanent Secretary of Adamawa State Ministry of Mineral Resources, Emmanuel Piridimso.

 

Piridimso was kidnapped when the criminals stormed his residence at Clark’s Quarters in Jimeta, Yola, about 3:20 am Wednesday bearing guns. They abducted him at gunpoint and whisked away his handset and that of his wife.

 

Meanwhile, the abductors were yet to contact anybody at the time of filing the report.

 

According to the PPRO efforts were being made to rescue the permanent secretary from captivity.

 

He said, “The police has already deployed IG’s rapid response team to track and arrest the culprits and to also rescue the victim.”
