Abducted NSTA Passengers Freed

The Niger State Government has on Sunday disclosed that it has secured the release of the abducted passengers of the States’ Transport Authority (NSTA). The Chief Press Secretary to the Niger State Governor, Mary Noel-Berje made the disclosure in a statement in Minna, saying the abductees were released from Zamfara State.

Senate President Ahmad Lawan has mentioned that pronouncements by governors in the south-west were responsible for the violence in Sasha market Ibadan Oyo state. A crisis had erupted On February 13, following an argument that ensued between a pregnant Yoruba woman and a Hausa businessman. This resulted in an outbreak of violence in Sasha area of Ibadan, Oyo state capital, which reportedly led to the deaths of many and the destruction of houses. A Nigerian Air Force airplane (NAF201) a B350, has crashed shortly after departing the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja at 10:33 am, en route to Minna, Niger state. The aircraft, which was carrying six persons on board, including 2 crew members reported engine failure at 1039 am and shortly after crashed landed on the final approach path of Abuja Runway 22 at 10:48 am on Sunday. The fire service is currently at the scene of the accident.
