Five Countries Lift All Restrictions Against COVID-19 – WTO

World Tourism Organisation (WTO) has reported that about five countries in the last 24 hrs amongst 217 countries across the globe have fully returned their life back to normal through lifting all restrictions that were hitherto put in place because of coronavirus.

President Buhari has today charges the newly promoted service chiefs to step up the tempo of fighting criminality to protect the lives and properties of Nigeria. The president made this comment while decorating the new service chiefs at the State House, Abuja, urging them that they have limited time to perform. Contained in a statement signed by the president Special Adviser on Media and publicity, Femi Adesina, Buhari stated that during the four-hour of the security meeting on Tuesday, reiterated to the service chiefs that being the commander in chief, he has given them directive to go out there and do everything possible to secure the country.

Nigerian Air Force Redeploys Senior Officers In Major Shake-up

The Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice-Marshal Isiaka Amao has on Friday approved the redeployment of some senior officers of the Nigerian Air Force, Amao also approved the appointment of Air Commodore, Edward Gabwet as the new spokesperson of the Force, replacing Ibikunle Daramola.

Despite Opposition, Sheikh Gumi Insist On Amnesty For Bandits

The Kaduna state-based Islamic scholar, Sheikh Ahmed Gumi, has insisted that if Nigeria must make headway in the fight against insecurity, the repentant criminals must be given amnesty. Gumi opined that if those who started a civil war against the country that consumed millions of people were pardoned, he sees no fault in giving similar gesture to bandit if that will bring peace at the end, saying bandits must be forgiven if the government is serious about ending the carnage.
