2021/2022 Admission: JAMB To Announce Cut-Off Mark August 31

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) disclosed that it would announce the cut-off points for 2021/2022 admission into tertiary institutions by August 31. The board’s policy meeting where decisions such as the cut-off mark have been fixed for that date.

JAMB To Hold Rescheduled Mop-Up UTME For 18,000 Candidates

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has rescheduled examination for over 18,000 candidates who experienced biometric verification challenges and those who genuinely missed the just-concluded Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) as a result of a clash with this year’s National Business and Technical Examination as a result of a clash with this year’s National Business and Technical Examination Board examination. This is coming two days after the examination body announced the withdrawal of results of 14 candidates and withheld 90 others’ for allegedly being involved in various forms of examination malpractice. JAMB spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, who disclosed this Thursday in Abuja, Said, said candidates slated for the examination, which will take place on Friday, August 6, 2021, are being notified through both text messages on their designated phone numbers and their JAMB profiles. He added that the candidate can check using their registration number on http://www.jamb.gov.ng./2021mopup.

Buhari Appoints New NECO Registrar

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Prof. Ibrahim Dantani Wushishi as the New Registrar/ Chief Executive of the National Examinations Council (NECO). Prof. Wushishi will replace Prof. Godswill Obioma who passed away in May. The Head of Public Relations and Information, Azeez Sani confirmed the appointment in a statement, saying the new appointment is to run for five years with effect from July 12, 2021.
