Banditry: Logistic supplier, weapon manufacturers arrested by Army

Reports available in public domain indicate that the Nigerian Army may be winning the war against bandits in the North West region. This is as troops on Exercise Harbin Kunama III arrested a logistics supplier for bandits hiding between Jibia – Batsari axis of Katsina State.

 

In a statement credited to Army spokesman Colonel Sagir Musa, one Marwana Abubakar was arrested at Kwashabawa village in Jibia Local Government Area (LGA) of Katsina State on Wednesday the 8th of May 2019.

Similarly, Musa noted that following credible intelligence, troops of 311 Artillery Regiment, conducted a raid operation on a suspected facility in Kontagora township.

Subsequently, a local weapon fabricator, Salisu Ibrahim was arrested and weapons recovered.
