Third Case Of Coronavirus Confirmed In Lagos

The Lagos Ministry of Health has on Tuesday announced that a new patient, a Nigerian female who recently returned from the United Kingdom (UK) has tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19).

 

The patient returned to the country on March 13, 2020, via British Airways flight BA 75 and observed self-isolation before developing symptoms.

The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi said the patient is currently receiving treatment at the Mainland General Hospital.

He also advised passengers on the same flight to observe self-isolation for 14 days.

"Contact tracing of all passengers and all those who may have come in contact with this latest case has commenced," the commissioner stated.
