The United States Navy and Marine Corps Divers have recovered the bodies of 10 missing sailors who died as a result of a collision between the USS John S. McCain and a merchant vessel. The CNN had reported that the guided-missile destroyer had collided with the oil tanker named Alnic Mc last week, east of the Malacca Strait.
The recovery was announced in a statement released on Sunday by the US Navy's 7th Fleet. The statement said, "US Navy and Marine Corps divers have now recovered the remains of all 10 USS John S. McCain sailors." The statement gave details of the deceased crewmen as follows;

Following the incident, the US Navy dismissed Vice Admiral Joseph Aucoin as the Commander of the 7th Fleet. The Navy said it had lost confidence in Aucoin's ability to command. The Commander had been appointed in 2015 and was due to retire within weeks. Already, his successor has been appointed.
