The United States President Donald Trump on Monday signed a new trade deal with Japan. The two countries had initially entered a deal in September, including increased access to Japanese markets for U.S. agricultural producers, Vanguard reports.

The deal comes as Trump is making effort to finalize more complete trade deals with a number of key commercial partners, including Europe, China, Mexico, and Canada.

Meanwhile, the U.S. threat of imposing car tariffs on Japan subsists, in spite of the deal.
