Tinubu Elected 63rd ECOWAS Chairman

Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu elected the new Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). Tinubu emerged as the Chairman during the 63rd Ordinary Session of the Authority of ECOWAS Heads of State and Government, in Guinea-Bissau.


He succeeded President Umaro Embalo of Guinea Bissau, who became Chairman at the 61st summit in Accra, 4th July 2022.
