An Owerri based Dj simply identified as Paky has called out popular comedian and organizer of the renowned AY Live Comedy show, for failing to pay him his fee after he performed for him aft the last AY show held in the Imo state capital. According to DJ Paky who played at AY Live Owerri comedy show on 29th December, 2017 the Markun brothers and Yellowmouth refused to pay him and every other Imo state based artistes that performed at the event that attracted a very big crowd.
He disclosed that he was engaged by Yellowmouth, an event manager for AY with the assurances that he would be paid handsomely after the show. He said after accepting to perform at the show, he assisted in the distribution of flyers and promoted the show significantly before serving as the main DJ at the event.
The aggrieved DJ lamented that two weeks after the show, both AY and Yellowmouth have refused to settle him and other artistes that performed at the show. He added that when he made attempt to contact AY's brother Lanre over the matter, he sent him a text message claiming that they did not request the services of a DJ and that all DJs who had played at AY shows did so for free because of their quest to use the platform to launch their career.
The text message from Lanre according to the report read;
"Guy I did not tell Yellow mouth I need dj. Becide since we start our show in 207 we never pay dj once dey always call to support and also use it to get more relevant so pls. Not even Jimmy jat or exclusive will ask ay for money not talk of dj dat dey beg to put him to help him"
